Renewable Energy for Private Dwelling

Silver Bow is a self-build replacement dwelling, being built by the applicant to live in himself.  The idea was to make this property as sustainable as possible, via the use of a ground source pump and solar panels.  Under current permitted development rights, planning permission is not required for a single ground source heat pump, however for a second pump you require planning approval. Seems crazy as you cant even see the pump. We have just submitted an application via a s73 variation of condition for the additional pump.
