Bulwark Estate, Helston
Coastline and the design team, including Situ8 Planning Consultancy, wins the bid for 75 homes at Helston's Bulwark Estate after 11th hour withdrawal of objections.
Cornwall Council has been accused of delaying work on 16 affordable homes for local people in Lostwithiel by a year because it has dragged its feet over legal issues.
We are thrilled to announce that the St Ives Neighbourhood Plan was recently announced as the winner at the Planning Awards 2017 for the best Neighbourhood Plan.
Through Planning Aid, Situ8 worked with them on a number of occasions and held workshops to aide them with developing a professional plan which turned their aspirations into policies.
A quote within the NDP reads "Planning Aid helped particularly to transform evidence and aspiration into policy”.
Cornerstone Barristers very neatly summarised the event by saying, "The Awards celebrate projects which are shown to have significantly benefited communities across areas such as urban design, economic development, housing or regeneration. This truly innovative plan was devised by the St Ives Town Council, supported by Cornwall Council, to address the important needs of the local housing market. The plan contained policies to prevent new market housing being used for second and holiday homes."
